1. WALK 30 MINUTES IN THE THIRTY
Do it all once or in three ten-minute segments, and go fast enough to slightly elevate your heart rate. Throughout the rest of the day, add more walking wherever possible ideally you should build up to 10,000 steps (you’ll buy a pedometer on day one); a half hour walk is about 3,000. Do your walking addition to the workouts in plan.
2. FLOSS AND BRUSH YOUR TEETH
By controlling gingivitis and inflammation, you’ll help keep your teeth while avoiding both heart problems and wrinkles.
3. DRINK SEVERAL CUPS OF GREEN TEA
And also lots of water.
4. TAKE YOUR PILLS
We’d prefer that you get the nutrients you need from your diet, but from what we’ve found, very few people do. So unless you’re one of them, we suggest a multivitamin (the kind taken twice daily) and any extra supplements necessary to add up to the following amounts. (note: many of these doses exceed the dietary reference intakes, but we believe the data support our recommendations). Such as: B5, B6, 89, 812, C, D, E, Calcium, Magnesium, Selenium, Coenzyme Q10, and Aspirin if you need.
5. MEDITATE FOR 5 TO 15 MINUTES
This can take the form of prayer. The key is to search for a path that gives you comfort and offers an opening to finding deeper meaning in life. In a world with more noise than a preschool classroom, our brains (and souls) need moments of silence to recharge, refocus, and become rejuvenated. Give yourself a chance to think through your spirituality.
6. SLEEP SEVEN TO EIGHT HOURS A NIGHT
Enough sleep will make us fresh in the next day.
