Forget to Eat the Candy

Once upon a time, two boys, Bob and Bib, were passing a valley full of lollypops. An asphalt road spread in the middle of the valley. Both boys walked on the road. Left and right of the road there are countless lollypops with various colors and flavors. The lollypops are ready to be picked up at will.

Bob is very happy to see the countless lollypops, free for picking. He busied himself gathering the lollypops. He accelerated his walk to be able to gather a maximum number of lollypops in front of him. Bob collected so many lollypops in his backpack. He tried to take all the lollypops that he can, although the lollypops are countless in number. A short while Bob arrived at the end of the road, and he saw a gate bearinga note of “Farewell”. That is the end of the lollypop valley.

At the end of the road, Bob met a local residence. The local asked Bob, “How was Your trip at the lollypop valley? Are they delicious? Did You try the orange flavor? That flavor is the best. Or You prefer the mango? That one is also delicious."

Bob is silent upon hearing the question. He is very tired and powerless. He walked very fast holding so many lollypops, heavy in his backpack. One thing that surprised him as he answered the question, “I forgot to eat the lollypop!” A short while later, Bib arrived at the end of the road. “Hey Bob! You walked so fast. I called You but You are already so far ahead of me.” “Why did You call me?” asked Bob. “I want to ask You to sit and eat the grape lollypop together. The taste is out of this world. I also enjoyed the view of the valley, very breathtaking,” said Bib, recounting his experiences to Bob.

"Then there is an old man who is very tired. I walked with him. I gave him a couple of lollypops from my bag. We ate together and he told a lot of funny stories. We laughed together," said Bib. Hearing Bib’s story, Bob realized that there are many beautiful things that he passed from the beautiful lollypop valley. He was too busy gathering the lollypops. He forgets to eat them and has no time to savor the taste as he was too busy putting all the lollypops into his backpack.

At the end of his trip, Bob realized one thing and said to himself, “This trip is not about how many lollypop that I gather, but on how do I enjoy it and be happy.” He added, “The past could not be brought back.” Trip in lollypop valley is already over and Bob must continue his trip. In our life, many things are passed for granted. We forget to stop and enjoy life happiness. We become Bob at the lollypop valley who is busy gathering lollypop but forget to savor them and be happy.
